Here is a rare and  beautifully preserved 82 year old original Belgian movie poster from the first release of the Hal Roach Studios comedy,
A Chump At Oxford
. This was the boy's penultimate film shot for the Hal Roach Studios. The movie was released internationally at varying lengths but all versions involved Stan and Ollie being sent to England to receive an education because, as Stan pointed out, "we're not illiterate enough". This large poster is from the 1st release of the movie in Belgium but probably wasn't released until after the end of WWII in 1946. I know of at least four re-release Belgian posters for this same movie with two of them using the same artwork. This is most definitely the original first release and it is quite rare. It's also in very good shape for a movie poster of this age. This stunning poster seldom comes up for sale or auction and would make a great addition to anyone's Laurel and Hardy movie poster collection.

CONDITION:
Very Good Condition On Linen. Untrimmed top white border has imprinted theater exhibition information. A tax stamp affixed to lower right artwork. Prior to backing this poster was folded as originally issued. This poster has been stored rolled for 18 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.
