Here is a rare and  beautifully preserved 87 year old original Belgian movie poster from the first release of the Hal Roach Studios two reel comedy,
Busy Bodies
. This 20 minute short film directed by Lloyd French revolves around Stan and Ollie doing battle with inanimate objects, their co-workers and the laws of physics during a routine workday at the sawmill.  A two-reel masterpiece of comic slapstick. This poster is from the 1st release of the short in Belgium in 1933. I know of at least two re-release Belgian posters for this same short subject. This is most definitely the original first release and it is very rare. It's also in excellent shape for a movie poster of this age. I have only seen one other example of this poster come up for sale in the past 25 years and it is currently selling for over ,500 and is not nearly in as good condition. This wonderful poster would make a great addition to anyone's Laurel and Hardy movie poster collection.
Interestingly, although the artwork for this poster is most definitely from the movie
Busy Bodies,
the French title on this poster (
Chevaliers de la Flemme
) is often attributed to another Laurel and Hardy short from the same year,
Me And My Pal
.

CONDITION:
Very Good Condition On Linen. Untrimmed top white border. Prior to backing this poster was folded as originally issued.  Very slight yellowing of the paper. This poster has been stored rolled for over 15 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.
