    Description

    This calling card is from a collection belonging to Senator Perry Smith of Connecticut, who served from 1837 to 1843.  On heavy-stock paper, measuring approximately 2 1/4" x 3 1/2".  The pencil writing  contains an illegible looped notation, possibly a recordkeeping mark and what looks like "answered" on the reverse side..
