    These are the classic folding chairs that were used at weddings, graduations and all kinds of events before plastic and metal became the norm. They are very attractive and everyone remarks on how comfortable they are. These are nicely worn from years of use but have been tightened and reinforced so they are very sturdy and in good working condition. I have sold lots of these chairs to restaurants who put them through tough daily use with no problem. They are also very practical and easy to handle. They stack perfectly flat so you can fit 150 or more in a van. I can get 200 in my Astro van and have fit over 250 in a full sized U-haul van. You can also stack them 50 high on rolling dollies.
    Many of my customers use these chairs as is, but aside from having a great vintage look, the other benefit to buying worn (original varnish is worn off) chairs is that you can easily apply a coat of oil or stain to achieve any finish you want. It's a very quick and easy process and you can literally stain a chair in a minute. In these photos I used Watco Danish Oil but you can also use regular Minwax stain or even Old English Dark Scratch Cover.
